Own understanding
The novel tells such a story: the noble woman called Anna who had already married Karenina fell in love with the young man whose name was Vronsky, who was also live in the aristocracy. But finally they broke up since Vronsky's indifference and other pressure from the society. Poor Anna killed herself by lying in the rail.
The spirit that Anna never gave up to pursue her happiness made me admired. Then she had a delighted time for a short period. However, as time went by, Vronsky became indifferent to Anna, she is hopeless and complained that all of the thing is hypocrite, deceit, falsehood.
Should we pay sympathy to Anna? In my opinion, there was no fault to pursue affection and blessedness, but at the same time we shouldn't departure from moral. We may forgive her to betray her husband, because there's no love between them. Nevertheless, she shouldn't abandon her son and reputation to pursue illusive affection.
Although it's a tragedy, we can learn the women in 19 century how they challenge the traditional social concept. We can know how fast the times go and change. Today's right for woman could corresponds to the old saying"Rome wasn't built in a day."
